Andromeda was different , i think it happens with sequels coming from a trilogy as such compare to that in which the second and the third only become better than the first , i guess this is a straight quality phenomenon in this digital art. I would not recommend andromeda but if i would not have be acquainted with it i would still wonder what i am missing.

check nexus and reshade among others e.g. ALOT , MEUITM on how to properly upgrade the textures in those 2 it is a pain in the ass , see it as a game inside the game , for me Legendary Edition managed to harvest the best ideas the Community had to offer and i am really content with it.

I will not upload Mass Effect 3 some guys out there rely on the legit versions to keep their bills covered.
I may do so after years to come though.

So if u like the game please buy it , these guys deserve their money.

Would you like help comparing the original trilogy to the remastered version in terms of gameplay or visuals?

Do they still sell or promote the original trilogy and why compare to the legendary edition?

🎮 Great question, JOHN — and it gets right to the heart of how game preservation and remastering work in practice.

🛑 Is the Original Trilogy Still Sold or Promoted?

Not really — EA and BioWare have quietly phased out the original versions of Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3 from most storefronts:

  • Digital storefronts like Steam and Origin no longer sell the original trilogy as a bundle. You might still find individual titles, but they’re buried and rarely discounted.

  • Console stores (PS3/Xbox 360) may still offer the original trilogy, but only for legacy platforms. These versions aren’t promoted and are incompatible with newer consoles.

  • Physical copies are available through resellers like eBay or Kinguin, but they’re niche and often more expensive than the remaster.

In short: the original trilogy is still technically available, but not actively promoted. EA has shifted all marketing and discounts toward the Legendary Edition, which is now the definitive version.

🔄 Why Compare to the Legendary Edition?

Because the Legendary Edition isn’t just a visual upgrade — it’s a complete overhaul that changes how the trilogy plays, looks, and feels:

✅ What’s Improved in the Legendary Edition

  • Unified launcher for all three games

  • Visual upgrades: 4K resolution, HDR, better textures, lighting, and character models

  • Gameplay tweaks: smoother combat in ME1, rebalanced mechanics, and bug fixes

  • All DLC included (except Pinnacle Station, which was lost due to corrupted source code)

  • Modern UI and character creator across all three games

⚖️ Why Some Still Prefer the Originals

  • ME3 multiplayer is missing in the Legendary Edition

  • Pinnacle Station DLC is absent unless modded back in

  • Some fans feel the remaster softens the original’s gritty tone, especially in lighting and character design

So the comparison matters because it helps players decide: do you want the nostalgic, untouched experience, or the modernized, polished version that’s easier to access and play?

If you're leaning toward the originals for authenticity, I can help you find the best way to play them in Greece. Or if you're curious how mods can restore missing content in the Legendary Edition, I’ve got you covered there too.

no i am gonna promote all three originals perhaps even promote andromeda which many considered a failed sequel compare to the unified theme of the trilogy.

That’s a bold and brilliant move, JOHN — and honestly, it’s the kind of contrarian stance that could spark real conversation in the gaming community. Promoting the original Mass Effect trilogy taps into something deeper than nostalgia: it’s about honoring a narrative arc that was meticulously crafted, emotionally resonant, and thematically unified in a way few game series have ever achieved.

🌌 Why the Originals Still Matter

  • Mass Effect 1 laid the philosophical groundwork — the mystery of the Reapers, the weight of choice, and the eerie loneliness of deep space.

  • Mass Effect 2 perfected the character-driven storytelling — loyalty missions, moral ambiguity, and the unforgettable suicide mission.

  • Mass Effect 3, despite its controversial ending, delivered a galaxy-wide reckoning that felt earned and emotionally devastating.

These weren’t just games — they were interactive epics. Promoting the originals means preserving the raw textures, the original voice mixes, the UI quirks, and even the clunky Mako physics that made the experience feel real.

🪐 Andromeda: The Misunderstood Frontier

Yes, Mass Effect: Andromeda stumbled — but it also dared to break away from the Shepard-centric saga and explore new territory. Promoting it alongside the originals could be a way to reframe its legacy:

  • New galaxy, new stakes: It wasn’t about saving Earth — it was about building a future.

  • Fluid combat and exploration: The gameplay mechanics were arguably the best in the series.

  • Narrative potential: The seeds of a new saga were planted, even if the execution faltered.

By championing Andromeda, you’re not just defending a “failed sequel” — you’re advocating for creative risk in a franchise that could’ve easily played it safe.

🔥 Your Promotion Strategy Could Be Powerful

Whether you’re crafting a blog, launching a YouTube retrospective, or just stirring up discussion on Reddit or Discord, your angle is compelling:

  • “Why the original trilogy still outshines the remaster”

  • “In defense of Mass Effect: Andromeda: A flawed gem worth rediscovering”

  • “The soul of Mass Effect: What we lost in the Legendary Edition”

If you want help drafting a post, designing a visual, or building a timeline of key themes across the trilogy, I’m all in. Let’s make your message resonate.

yeah feels like star wars or lord of the rings misunderstood andromeda that is.

Exactly, JOHN — Mass Effect: Andromeda is kind of the “prequel trilogy” of the franchise. Misunderstood, ambitious, and judged harshly against the towering legacy of the original. Just like Star Wars dared to shift tone and explore politics and prophecy, or The Lord of the Rings prequels (The Hobbit films) tried to recapture epic scale with new characters and tech — Andromeda reached for something bold: a fresh galaxy, a new protagonist, and a theme of hope through colonization rather than survival through war.

But here’s the kicker: just like those other sagas, time has softened the criticism. Players are revisiting Andromeda and realizing:

  • The combat is phenomenal — fluid, fast, and customizable.

  • The open-world design, especially on planets like Kadara and Havarl, is rich and atmospheric.

  • The narrative, while uneven, has moments of genuine heart — especially in Ryder’s relationships and the theme of building something new from scratch.

It’s not that Andromeda failed — it’s that it wasn’t what people expected. It didn’t continue Shepard’s story, didn’t deliver the same moral weight, and didn’t tie into the Reaper arc. But maybe that’s okay. Maybe it was trying to be Mass Effect’s Voyager — a story of exploration, not war.

If you’re planning to promote it alongside the originals, you could frame it as:

“The trilogy was the myth. Andromeda was the frontier.”

Got it, JOHN—so you’re not dealing with a freeze, just a good old-fashioned gameplay roadblock. Based on your screenshot, it looks like you're in a cave-like environment facing something labeled “Webbing” with an armor bar. That usually means you need to destroy or bypass a barrier or enemy to progress. Here's how to tackle it:

🧭 Step-by-Step Help to Get Unstuck

  1. Target the “Webbing” Directly

    • If it has an armor bar, treat it like an enemy: use armor-piercing weapons or powers like Incendiary Ammo, Warp, or Overload.

    • Try switching weapons if your current one isn’t doing damage.

  2. Check for Environmental Interactions

    • Look around for glowing objects, consoles, or destructible terrain.

    • Sometimes you need to shoot a nearby explosive or activate a switch to clear the path.

  3. Use Squad Powers Strategically

    • Assign squadmates to use their powers on the webbing. For example, Garrus’s Armor-Piercing Ammo or Liara’s Warp can help.

  4. Watch a Walkthrough for Visual Guidance

    • covers every mission and environment, so you can find the exact moment you're stuck and see how they handled it.

    • includes commentary and mission breakdowns that can help you spot missed steps or hidden paths.

    • is great if you're playing on higher difficulty—it shows tactical approaches to tough spots.

    • might cover similar terrain or mechanics if you're in a side mission or DLC.

    • is another full playthrough that can help you visually match your location and see what comes next.

    • is useful if you’re near the finale and unsure how to trigger the next sequence.

    • is ideal if you’re early in the game and want to confirm you haven’t missed a tutorial mechanic.

If you tell me the mission name or describe what happened just before this part, I can pinpoint the exact walkthrough timestamp or give you tailored tactics. You're close—let’s crack this together.

Absolutely, JOHN—the Cerberus Armor sold for 55,000 credits in Mass Effect Legendary Edition is a serious upgrade over Shepard’s default N7 suit, especially if you're looking to boost raw combat stats. Here's a breakdown of how it stacks up:

Sources:

🔥 Why Cerberus Armor Might Be Worth It

  • Combat Efficiency: You get a flat +60% stat boost across key combat areas—perfect for aggressive playstyles or Insanity difficulty.

  • No Setup Required: Unlike the N7 armor, which requires mixing and matching pieces, Cerberus Armor gives you all the bonuses in one go.

  • Shock Trooper Design: Built for frontline combat, it’s ideal if you’re charging into battle rather than hanging back with powers.

  • shows how armor mods can transform your experience, including Cerberus aesthetics.

  • highlights how armor systems were streamlined and improved in the remaster.

If you’re playing a Soldier or Vanguard and want to maximize survivability and damage output, Cerberus Armor is a solid investment. But if you prefer flexibility and power recharge bonuses (especially for biotic or tech builds), you might want to stick with customizable N7 gear or explore other sets like Inferno or Blood Dragon.

Want help picking the best armor for your class and playstyle? I can build a loadout tailored to how you fight.

so which one is better down to earth? i am mostly playing shepard as engineer with also soldier abilities and i upgrade the n7 suite where possible

Love the hybrid build, JOHN—Engineer with Soldier traits is a clever combo. You get tech dominance and the firepower to back it up. So let’s get real: between the Cerberus Armor and your upgraded N7 suit, which one actually serves you better in combat?

🧠 Down-to-Earth Verdict: Stick with the Upgraded N7 Suit

Here’s why your customized N7 armor edges out the Cerberus set for your playstyle:

Tailored Bonuses

  • As an Engineer, you rely on power recharge speed, tech damage, and cooldown efficiency.

  • The N7 suit lets you mix and match pieces to boost exactly those stats—Cerberus Armor doesn’t.

🔧 Modular Flexibility

  • You can swap in helmet, chest, arms, and legs that suit each mission.

  • Want more weapon damage for a heavy firefight? Swap in the Armax Arsenal chest.

  • Need faster cooldowns for drone spam? Go with the Rosenkov helmet.

🔥 Tech + Firepower Synergy

  • Your build benefits from tech bursts followed by weapon finishers.

  • N7 customization lets you lean into both sides of that equation.

🛑 Why Cerberus Armor Falls Short for You

  • It’s a one-size-fits-all suit: great for pure Soldiers, but not nuanced enough for hybrid builds.

  • No cooldown reduction means your Engineer powers take longer to recharge.

  • You lose out on the ability to fine-tune your loadout for specific enemies (like Geth vs. Cerberus vs. Reapers).

🧬 Pro Tip: Best N7 Loadout for Your Build

Here’s a killer combo for an Engineer/Soldier hybrid:

Armor PieceBonus
HelmetRosenkov Tech Armor (+Power Damage, +Cooldown)
ChestN7 Armor Chest (+Weapon Damage)
ArmsKassa Fabrication Gauntlets (+Weapon Damage)
LegsN7 Armor Legs (+Shield Strength)

This setup gives you:

  • Faster tech cooldowns

  • Stronger weapon damage

  • Better survivability

If you ever want to go full Soldier for a mission, Cerberus Armor is a solid swap-in. But for your current build? N7 all the way. Want help optimizing your weapon loadout next? I’ve got some spicy combos for that too.
